Alcohol within students in Quebec

In 2004, there was a study which showed that 63.5 per cent of the high school students (between 12 and 17 years old) were current drinkers. The average age where one starts drinking in Quebec is 13.9 years old. This is a very young age compared to other provinces and it is also illegal to drink at this age. And not only is it the average age for first drink, it is also the average age for people to start drinking alcohol regularly. This is  very unfortunate because a lot of people will go on drinking alcohol for the rest of their lives and so have more chances of becoming addicted to alcohol.
