This is home to nearly thirteen thousand people; however, many are afraid that if something isn’t done soon, they are going to see the youth heading on a downward spiral. Many parents know that no matter where you go, your kids will deal with peer pressure. Teens are at a point in their life that they just want to fit in. this might mean drinking when they are with their friends to prove a point. Teenage Alcohol Dependency

Though it hasn’t hit as hard in North Battleford as it has in other areas of Saskatchewan, this is definitely a dilemma that government officials are trying to get a grip on before it turns into something worse. Therefore, there are many job positions for therapists developing as they are opening centers to help those teenagers who are dependant upon alcohol and other drugs.  They hope that with these, they see an increase in parent involvement and even neighborhood involvement.
