There are many parents who are being faced with the fact that their teen is addicted to alcohol. It’s true that those who live in Canada know how to party; however, that party atmosphere is causing many teens to want to drink at a younger age.
Another thing that Dauphin is finding is that teenage moms are drinking and becoming addicted to alcohol. With this, results the increasing problem of fetus alcohol syndrome which they are trying to put an end to. The campaign that they are planning to do in order to make this happen will cost six hundred thousand dollars. With that being said, it’s a large amount to pay, but many say its well worth it as they save children as well as the parents who are bearing children.
It might be a small town, but sometimes, it’s the smaller the area that gets hit the hardest with teens and alcohol addictions. Many say that it’s because there aren’t as many alcohol treatment programs in Manitoba out there for teens to keep them busy. They see their friends partying and want to do the same whereas, if they had the resources and the opportunities; if they had alternatives then they wouldn’t have to go about and depend on alcohol to help them have fun.
